LUNCH: Please sign in for lunch if you intend to stay for lunch. Last week we ran out of food and Fausto was left holding the plate. We try to make enough food for those that signed up. Either we had several more people join us or there were a few that took Sandro Zoppi sizes rather than normal people sizes. Cooperate and Fausto won’t be crying again.
2. META CENTRE GRAN FONDO – Review in pictures
The VCC was well represented last week at the META Foundation Gran Fondo with over 30 riders. I wasn’t there to experience the even and Frank Mazzuca was in Halifax and so we don’t have the classic group photo. But we’ll make do with what we’ve got.
Congratulations to the VCC participants. They had a great challenge and great fun while helping out a great cause. The META Foundation helps people with special needs and their families. Together, we’re all winners.
3. OFFICIAL PICTURE DAY – July 16, 2017
4. RIDE FOR ROB – July 30, 2017
The VCC is dedicating its rides on July 30 to fellow VCC rider, Rob Taylor who, sadly, left us late last year. We don’t have all the details of the day a the moment. Just giving you a heads up that if you can make it, come on out and ride in Rob’s honour. He was one of us.
5. PICTURES OF THE WEEK
In order to make it into the VCC Bulletin, you need to do 3 things:
a. Wear a VCC Jersey or stand next to someone wearing a VCC Jersey,
b. Take a picture or have one taken of you; and
c. Forward it to me

Entry No. 2: SATURDAY RIDE TO RATTLESNAKE POINT – submitted by David Thompson
These four intrepid riders conquered the switchback to make it to the top of Rattlesnake point for this shot.
Entry No. 3: ALL-IN IN ALTONA – Photo submitted by Frank Mazzuca
Our good friend Frank Mazzuca found himself in Altona, Manitoba (look it up on google Maps) and he was showing off his Apres Ride T-shirt. What was he doing in Altona? What does anyone do Altona? Publish a book.
Entry No. 4: RIDE TO HOLLAND MARSH – Photo submitted by Frank Morassut
Frank and his crew rode out to the Holland Marsh and reconnected with the bronze lions adorning the doors of the Holland Marsh Winery.
Entry No. 5: RAIN CANNOT HOLD DOWN THE 13th 1 – Photo submitted by Rick Marchesan
It was a weeknight ride and the drops began to fall as the riders were prepping themselves in the parking lot. Tired of giving up too many rides to the rain this year, the group opted to take on the rain rather than complain.
Entry No. 6: FOUR CORNERS BAKERY – Photo submitted by Angelo DeMedicis
They keep telling us that they’ve been to this bakery and then that one and then one with cider. But no one ever bothers to bring back a croissant.
