After numerous months our new red clay courts are ready for our members to enjoy! Members can now contact the club and book a court and experience playing on European red clay. Although the courts themselves are ready, we are in the process of completing a number of items that are necessary with clay courts. We will be setting up shoe brushes and water trays for members to clean their shoes before entering the Veneto tennis club building. As well, we will be installing a buzzer and clock, water coolers, and areas where members can place their belongings. During this time we hope that all members, including players in the academy, do their best to avoid tracking clay into the main building once they are finished playing on the red clay. We understand that this will be a time of educating ourselves, not only of how to play on a different surface but also of the maintenance and procedures that are involved in enjoying this surface. Once again, we ask for everyone’s participation and patience during this phase and as we provide the necessary improvements, our experience with the new courts will continue to grow.
